EASTER CELEBRATIONS AROUND THE WORLD!

   Easter is a special event celebrated by Christians.  It is the celebration of the resurrection of  Christ.  Easter is celebrated in many countries all over the world, however not all traditions are the same. America and Canada    In America and Canada, Easter is pretty much celebrated the same.  Decorated eggs are hunted for or exchanged as well as other gifts they may include money and chocolates.  Easter baskets and bonnets are made and decorated, then entered into contests.    The Easter bunny is very popular in both countries.  Stores line their shelves with stuffed bunnies to give as gifts as well as chocolate, decorations and gifts for the Easter holiday. Germany    In Germany, Eater is called  Ostern .  Besides Christmas, Easter is the most important holiday in Germany.  Spring cleaning is done in the household, decorations are brought in and hung up....

HOMEMADE TREATS FOR MAN'S BEST FRIEND!

   This recipe and diy comes from  www.comeonilene.com  .  It's not always about us human beings we have to take care of our other family members and buddies in the dog world. Ingredients 1 cup rolled oats 1/3 cup margarine or butter 1 cup boiling beef broth 3/4 cup cornmeal 2 teaspoons white sugar 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup peanut butter 1 egg, beaten (or 2 eggs to make treats softer for older dogs) 3 cups whole wheat flour Directions Combine rolled oats, margarine/butter, and boiling beef broth in a large bowl. Let stand and soften for 10 minutes. Thoroughly stir in cornmeal, sugar, bouillon, milk, peanut butter, and egg. Mix in flour, 1 cup at a time, until dough comes together. Knead dough together so that it looks like this: Roll out dough to 1/2″ thickness: Cut out shapes with cookie cutter.     The  Viareggio Carnival  was established in 1873 when some of the local  "signori"  decided to organize a Sunday a little different from the rest, by inventing a procession of decorated floats which travelled up and down the main street of the city. On the occasion , a masked protest was also organized by a number of citizens, as they were forced to pay too many taxes and as a result the chief tax collector was certainly made fun of!!   The Carnival of Venice historically had a reputation for attracting Europe's aristocracy, but it was also a time when the poorer of society could dress up and mingle with the upper classes.  Venice still has a reputation for being a very expensive city though, if you're on a budget don't let this put you off on visiting the Carnival of Venice as you can actually visit Venice on a shoestring budget.    The Carnival of Venice starts around two weeks before Ash Wednesday and ends on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. DARK CHOCOLATE CANDY BARK!

   Chocolate-covered peanut butter  cups , malted milk balls, or your favorite candy bar can be the star of this easy  Christmas  candy-bark recipe. If you're not big on dark chocolate, use white chocolate instead.
